PSL season 11 kicks off March 26: PCB

LAHORE: The 11th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League will start from March 26 this year.

The Governing Council meeting of the HBL Pakistan Super League was held at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore under the chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Representatives of all 8 franchises of the HBL PSL, as well as top officials of the PCB and PSL, attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman PCB and all the participants welcomed the owners of the new teams of Sialkot and Hyderabad to the HBL PSL family and congratulated them.

On this occasion, the Chairman PCB and the HBL PSL team were also congratulated on the successful auction of the new teams, which was described as a clear sign of the growth and evolution of the league.

Various issues were discussed in detail during the meeting, including the schedule of HBL PSL 11, retention of players, adoption of the unique system ‘Draftion’ consisting of player auction or a combination of auction and draft, and the option of opening direct signings.

The meeting decided that the HBL PSL 11 will begin on Thursday, March 26, with fans, players, and all stakeholders excited to enter a new era of the league.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to form a working group that will further consider the agenda items on Saturday, after which the Governing Council meeting will be convened again if necessary.
