NEW DELHI: During the T20 World Cup, Indian cricket team young batter Rinku Singh’s father Khanchand Singh passed away due to liver cancer.

According to Indian media reports, his father had been ill for a long time. His condition suddenly deteriorated earlier this week, after which he was transferred to a ventilator.

According to reports, Rinku Singh was part of the Indian squad in the T20 World Cup at that time. As soon as he received the sad news, he immediately left for his hometown Aligarh to be with his family during this difficult time.

It may be recalled that in the Super 8 stage, India played an important match against Zimbabwe in Chennai, in which the Indian team won by 72 runs. Rinku Singh was not part of the playing eleven in this match, but he came on the field as a substitute player.

Immediately after the match, he received the news of his father’s death, on which the team management and fellow players expressed their condolences.

Sympathy and prayers are being expressed for Rinku Singh and her family from cricket circles and fans. The cricketing community stands with them in this difficult time.
