MUMBAI: Rohit Sharma has been included in Mumbai’s squad for the first two matches of the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, while Shardul Thakur has been appointed captain for the tournament opener.
The squad also features Sarfaraz Khan, Musheer Khan and young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
Additionally, Ajinkya Rahane, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ayush Mhatre have been left out of the squad. Mumbai, however, have included several fresh faces, with Chinmay Sutar earning a recall after previously representing India Emerging in 2019.
Young batter Ishan Mulchandani and fast bowler Onkar Tarmale, recently picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL auction, have also been named.
