ISLAMABAD: A claim is gaining momentum on social media that famous transgender dancer and TikToker Mehak Malik has bought the new Faisalabad franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

This news is going viral everywhere and users are congratulating the first transgender owner of any PSL franchise.

Social media posts are also claiming that Mehak Malik bought this franchise for Rs 3 billion.

However, there is no official confirmation of this claim yet. No information has been released by the Pakistan Super League or the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about Mehak Malik buying any franchise.

According to the available information, these are just rumors circulating on social media and there is no reliable source behind them.

The real situation is that 2 new teams will be added to PSL 11, which will increase the number of teams from 6 to 8 in the 2026 season.

The auction for the new franchises is scheduled for January 6, 2026, and successful bidders will have to choose the city and name of their team from a shortlist of 6 cities, including Faisalabad.

So, no new team owner has been finalized yet, and the rumors circulating regarding Mehak Malik are unconfirmed.
