Dubai: Sahibzada Farhan has climbed to the second position in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings after a remarkable display at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, edging closer to overtaking India’s Abhishek Sharma at number one.

Farhan made history by becoming the first player to hit two centuries in a single T20 World Cup. His 100-run knock off 60 balls against Sri Lanka played a crucial role in Pakistan’s win.

With a total of 383 runs in the tournament, he has surpassed England’s Phil Salt and now trails Sharma by only 26 rating points.

Other significant movements in the batsmen rankings include India’s Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma, who now occupy fourth and sixth places. South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has moved up to eighth, while Zimbabwe’s Brian Bennett climbed six spots to 11th after accumulating 292 runs.

South Africa’s Ryan Rickelton and Aiden Markram have advanced to 13th and 16th positions, respectively.

In the bowling rankings, India’s Varun Chakravarthy remains at the top with 12 wickets, though his lead has narrowed to just 18 points, as Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed climbs to third place.

Among all-rounders, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza continues to lead, with India’s Hardik Pandya moving up to second. West Indies’ Jason Holder has also risen eight spots to 11th following strong performances with both bat and ball.
