DUBAI: Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi moved up three places to the fourth position in the latest ICC ODI bowlers’ rankings released on Wednesday.

The left-arm pacer made significant strides after a brilliant performance in the first ODI against Australia in Melbourne, where he took two crucial wickets, dismissing Matthew Short and Josh Ingles.

Despite their efforts, Pakistan lost the match. Australia’s Mitchell Starc also moved up four places to reach 14th place in the rankings.

The ranking of the top 10 batsmen in ODIs remains unchanged, with Babar Azam at the top with 822 points, followed by Rohit Sharma at the second spot with 765 points.

Scotland’s Brendan McMullen surged significantly in the latest ODI all-rounders’ rankings, moving up three places to claim sixth place.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Agha, and Babar Azam improved their position in the Test batting rankings, although none currently feature in the top 10.

Meanwhile, India’s Rishabh Pant and New Zealand‘s Daryl Mitchell have improved in the ICC Men’s Test Batter Rankings after strong performances in the recent third Test.

New Zealand secured a narrow 25-run win in Mumbai, completing a 3-0 series sweep against India, with Pant and Mitchell making the most of a developing top 10 list of Test batsmen.
