Virat Kohli to miss first two tests against England, here is why

In a surprising development, Indian cricket stalwart Virat Kohli has opted to withdraw from the first two tests against England, citing personal reasons, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday.

The 35-year-old batting maestro, with a remarkable record of nearly 9,000 runs in 113 test matches, has informed Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors about his decision.

In an official statement, the BCCI clarified, “Virat has spoken to Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors… certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention.”
