OpenAI launches ‘Your Year with ChatGPT’ feature

ISLAMABAD: OpenAI has introduced a new feature for ChatGPT called ‘Your Year With ChatGPT’, which provides users with a personalized overview of their interactions throughout the year. The feature is inspired by Spotify’s Wrapped feature and highlights users’ chat patterns and key conversation topics.

According to the company, the feature will be available to all ChatGPT users, whether they are using a Free, Plus or Pro subscription, but is currently only available in select markets and in the English language.

The feature’s features include providing a breakdown of common topics of conversations with ChatGPT throughout the year and frequently asked questions from users. It gives unique and interesting rewards based on user activity and offers a personalized summary through analysis of usage data and chat history.

OpenAI has stated that to use this feature, users will have to enable the Reference Saved Memory and Reference Chat History features. If the user’s activity is limited, only basic data will be shown. Users must also be using the latest version of the Android or iOS app.

The feature will automatically appear as a banner on the ChatGPT app’s home page, while users can also view a summary of the year by selecting Your Year With ChatGPT through the + icon. This summary will be presented in a card-like format and can also be shared on social media.

Currently, the feature is available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US, but according to reports, this feature is also active in India.
