ISLAMABAD: Samsung‘s long-rumored tri-fold smartphone has taken another step towards an official release. The device has now appeared in the Bluetooth SIG certification database, indicating that a global launch could be on the horizon.

The certification lists several model numbers: SM-D6390, SM-D639N, SM-D639U, SM-D639U1, and SM-D639B. This range of identifiers suggests that Samsung plans to release the device in multiple regions, including North America, China, and South Korea.

Typically, the “B” suffix in Samsung model numbers refers to the global version of the device. While the exact list of launch countries is unknown, this certification indicates that Samsung’s new foldable will not be limited to select markets.

Samsung showcased the tri-fold concept in October, but the device has not yet been officially announced. Early reports suggested a US launch could happen as early as 2026. With less than two months left in the year and certification now secured, the timing is looking increasingly likely.

As Samsung prepares for its next wave of foldable innovation, more details about the tri-fold smartphone are expected soon.
