ISLAMABAD: Vivo has launched a new budget smartphone, the Y19s 5G, which brings 5G support, a large battery, and the latest Android software to entry-level users. Offered in multiple memory configurations, the device is positioned to serve users who want reliable features without spending a lot.
Under the hood, the Y19’s 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, manufactured on a 6nm process, and is capable of handling 5G networks. It comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with a microSD slot allowing expansion of up to 2TB.
The phone boots Android 15 and uses Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 skin, providing the latest system features and future update support.
The phone’s rear camera setup includes a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, the Y19s 5G is fitted with a 5-megapixel camera. While the imaging system is modest, it covers the basics for casual photos and video calls.
The Vivo Y19s 5G features a 6.74-inch LCD with a 1600 x 720 HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, offering smoother transitions and scrolling. The display reaches 700 nits of peak brightness and supports 70% of the NTSC color gamut, providing acceptable visibility and color range for its class.
The device weighs 199 grams and measures 167.3 x 76.95 x 8.19mm. It is built with basic durability in mind and carries an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and splashes. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking. Customers can choose between Majestic Green and Titanium Silver color finishes.
Powering the Y19s 5G is a 6,000 mAh battery, designed to last through a full day or more, depending on usage. The device supports 15W wired charging via a USB Type-C port.
The phone is available in three configurations. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at approximately $132. The 4GB + 128GB variant is available for $144, while the top-tier 6GB + 128GB version is priced at around $162.
