ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has taken significant action against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, issuing non-bailable arrest warrants in a terrorism-related case registered at Police Station I-9.

The court rejected Gandapur’s pre-arrest bail application, directing him to appear before the court at 10 am. Gandapur’s lawyer, Raja Zuhor Hasan, attempted to secure an exemption from his client’s appearance but was denied by the court.

The prosecutor argued that Gandapur has consistently disregarded the law, prompting the court to take notice of his conduct.

Consequently, non-bailable arrest warrants were also issued for three other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders: Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Raja Rashid Hafeez, and Amir Mehmood Kiani.

Additionally, this development follows an earlier decision by a Session Court in Islamabad, which also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Gandapur in an arms and liquor recovery case.

During the hearing, the court rejected Gandapur’s plea for exemption from appearance on medical grounds. Session Court Judge Shaista Khan Kundi ordered the SHO of Bhara Kahu police station to arrest Gandapur and present him before the court.

These legal developments indicate escalating tensions between Gandapur and the judicial authorities, highlighting concerns about alleged illegal activities and disregard for the law.
