ISLAMABAD: Over 38,000 pilgrims have been received by the Pakistan Hajj Commission (PHM) in Saudi Arabia under the government hajj scheme, according to media reports

The flight operation was started on April 29, 2025, with the first flight from Karachi to depart for Makkah.

The PHM will receive over 88,000 government scheme pilgrims, while 23,000 will be on the private quota scheme.

Moreover, 3440 more pilgrims will arrive today in the sacred city of Makkah through 13 different flights, according to Muhammad Umar Butt, a spokesman for the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Sharing the details with APP, a state-run news agency, he said that there are five scheduled flights from Lahore, four from Karachi, three from Islamabad, and one from Multan today.

He stated that because the Nusuk Card is required for entry into Haram Sharif, pilgrims are issued them shortly after their arrival by Tawafa Company Al-Rajhi, which is in charge of aiding Pakistani pilgrims during Haj.

The PHM is using the Pak Haj App, two toll-free helplines (8002450028 and 8002450029), and WhatsApp numbers (+923700037425 and +923700037427) to quickly resolve pilgrim issues.

Furthermore, the official stated that two central hospitals (one each in Makkah and Madina) and 11 dispensaries (nine in Makkah and two in Madina) are providing medical services to pilgrims, with 303 physicians and medical professionals on duty.

The PHM’s main hospitals are equipped with contemporary amenities, such as ambulances, labs, X-ray equipment, ultrasound machines, ECG machines, small operating theatres, separate wards for men and women, and isolation wards.
