PPP will rule Islamabad, asserts Kumar

Islamabad, [Current Date]: In a significant political development, disgruntled Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ramesh Kumar formally joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) today. Kumar submitted his nomination papers for minority seats at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) president’s office, expressing his strategic decision to align with the PPP.

Addressing the media in Islamabad, Kumar stated, “I take the political decision watchfully,” and confidently anticipated the PPP’s triumph in Islamabad. He disclosed his intention to contest elections from NA-247 Karachi on the PPP’s ticket, emphasizing his belief in the party’s potential to lead.

“In December 2021, I told the former PTI chief that your time [politically] had come to an end according to the study of the stars,” Kumar remarked, indicating his foresight about the changing political landscape.

Asserting the inevitability of PPP’s ascent to power, Kumar predicted, “No power could stop the PPP from coming into power.”

Commenting on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Kumar confidently stated, “Nawaz Sharif will very soon head back abroad,” indicating his perspective on the evolving dynamics of Pakistani politics.

This move comes amid the PPP’s recent efforts to expand its political reach, with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari emphasizing the importance of a level playing field in Punjab. Bhutto-Zardari previously remarked that Nawaz Sharif’s tenures were “no less than dictatorships” for the PPP.

In Lahore, Bhutto-Zardari expressed optimism about the PPP’s prospects in Punjab, stating, “The PPP will spring its surprise in Punjab if it gets the level playing field. We will take everybody on board if we vote for power.” He lauded the resilience of PPP workers, emphasizing their steadfast support during challenging times.
