ISLAMABAD :Concerns were raised by a local court on Friday regarding Bushra Bibi’s absence from the ongoing case involving an alleged illegal marriage. Bushra Bibi is the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan. Qudratullah, the Sessions Judge, was hearing the case.

When Bushra Bibi’s attorney, Usman Gul, appeared in court, he claimed that Bushra Bibi was imprisoned because the court had previously mandated a jail trial.

She was taken to the jail to await the case’s hearing after he also told the court that she was the target of security threats while traveling to the court.

However, the judge remarked that she should have been appeared before the court. The court directed the counsel to present her before the court and put off further hearing till her personal appearance.
