ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert of rain and a possible flood situation in different parts of the country from August 23 to 30.
According to the NDMA, heavy rains are likely in most parts of the country from August 23 to 30.
Heavy rains are expected in Islamabad, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab from August 23 to 30.
According to the NDMA, heavy rains are likely in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Sialkot, Gujarat and Hafizabad from August 23 to 30.
Heavy rains are also expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Battagram, Abbottabad, Malakand, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Tank, Bannu, and Lakki Marwat from August 23 to 30.
According to the NDMA, heavy rains are likely in Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Ghizer, Diamer, Astore, Ganchhe, and Shigar from August 23 to 30.
The NDMA says that landslides in mountainous areas are likely to affect communication roads.
According to the NDMA, rains are likely in Karachi from August 27 to 30, while Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, and Tharparkar are also likely to receive rains from August 27 to 30.
Rains are also expected in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Dadu, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, and Larkana from August 27 to 30.
Intense rains are also likely in Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Shaheed Benazirabad from August 27 to 30.
Heavy rains are likely to occur in Lasbela, Khuzdar, Awaran, Kalat, Gwadar, Turbat, Kech, and Panjgur from August 27 to 30.
Rains are likely in Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, and Loralai from August 27 to 30, while intermittent rains are expected in Barkhan, Musakhel, Dera Bugti, and Kohlu, as per NDMA.
NDMA says that the water flow in the Indus River at Taunsa, Guddu, and Kalabagh is expected to reach 500,000 cusecs, while the water flow is also likely to increase in the adjacent areas of the Ravi and Chenab rivers.
