Pakistan weather update: Heavy rainfall to lash capital city

ISLAMABAD: The residents of Islamabad experienced light rainfall during the day, whereas light cool wind blew all day long, making the weather bearable as compared to the last few days.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Monsoon currents are penetrating the upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is also present over northern parts of the country.

Hot and very humid weather is likely to persist in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Northeastern Punjab, Potohar region, Islamabad, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. Isolated heavy falls are also likely during the period.
