Islamabad weather update: Chilly winds to blow at night

ISLAMABAD: The citizens of the federal capital witnessed light sunlight in the morning after which the weather remained pleasant with light chilling winds blowing in the city. However, the temperatures are set to drop below freezing point during the night providing cooler nights in the federal capital.

The maximum temperature recorded today ranges up to 17 degrees Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature expected in the evening will range up to 06 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level in the federal capital ranges between 70 to 75% with light wind blowing in the northwest direction at the speed of 8 km/h. Whereas, the chance of precipitation is up to 0% today.

According to the Met Office, Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while severe cold is expected in the hilly areas at night. However, light rain/light snowfall is expected at a few places in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, North-East Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat and surrounding areas. Smog/moderate to heavy fog is expected in most plain areas of Punjab and upper/central Sindh.
