Karachi, parts of Balochistan to witness rain, thunderstorm

KARACHI: According to the latest advisory issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), winds, breeze, and thunderstorms are expected in the surroundings of Karachi on Friday.

With the city main areas remain dry, some of adjocent areas are expected to witness later in the day as per PMD advisory.

However,  Meanwhile, in Balochistan, weather conditions are predicted to worsen. The Met Office has projected rain, hailstorms, and high winds in numerous districts, including Kalat, Sibi, Barkhan, Kohlu, Qila Saifullah, Qilla Abdullah, Nushki, and Musakhel.

Rainfall is expected under partly overcast skies, although some regions may get stronger downpours along with hail and strong winds.

Additional regions, like as Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, Harnai, Zhob, Khuzdar, Kharan, Lasbela, Panjgur, and Chaghi, have been recognized as at risk for unexpected weather changes.

The maximum temperatures recorded across Balochistan on Thursday were as follows: Sibi and Nokundi at 43°C, Turbat 41°C, Quetta and Gwadar 34°C, Zhob and Chaman 32°C, Kalat 29°C, and Ziarat 22°C.

Residents, particularly those in susceptible locations, have been cautioned by authorities to exercise caution and follow weather updates in light of anticipated windstorms and flash flooding.
