Pakistan-China border closes for 5 months due to snowfall on Khunjerab Pass
The important trade route between Pakistan and China in the Karakoram range, ‘Dara Khunjerab, is closed for 5 months.
According to the Dara Khunjerab Border Protocol Agreement, the border was closed due to snowfall on Khunjerab Top.
The border, which was closed on November 30, will now be opened for commercial activities on April 1.
More than 40 containers were delivered to Pakistan through Khunjarab Pass yesterday.

On the occasion of the closure of Pakistan-China border, former member Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Javed Hussain and Chief Executive Officer AJ International Cargo China to Pakistan Khurram Zafar welcomed the containers arriving in Pakistan.
Hunza Chamber President Daulat Karim was also present.
