ISLAMABAD: The hailstorm that struck Islamabad on April 30, 2023, caused complete destruction across the city when enormous hailstones began to strike all building structures.

The northern regions of Pakistan experienced a weather system that brought heavy rainfall and thunder, together with larger-than-normal hailstones because of the powerful westerly disturbance.

Initial reports and eyewitness accounts show that hundreds of vehicles experienced windshield breaks and roof dents, together with damage to solar panels and rooftops, and glass structures.

The sudden storm made it necessary for commuters to find protection because visibility dropped and road conditions became dangerous. This route remains unsafe for travel at the present time.

The weather forecast predicted rain, but an intense hailstorm occurred instead. Islamabad experienced its second hailstorm of the year because it occurred only twelve months after its first snowfall.

Last year, windshields shattered across the city. This year, still crazy enough to send every car owner sprinting. Weather authorities have issued a forecast which predicts that rain, together with gusty winds and thunderstorms, will start to affect Islamabad and Potohar, Rawalpindi and Gujar Khan, Talagang, Jhelum, Chakwal, Murree and Galliyat, Attock, Fateh Jang, and nearby regions during the next one to three hours.
