ISLAMABAD: According to a notification issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Saturday, the new system of monsoon rains will begin from September 2 and continue till September 5.
The NDMA advisory warns of possible flooding in low-lying areas and urban flooding.
Moderate rain is anticipated in northeastern Punjab, with showers expected in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala. Rain is also likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Malakand, Hazara Division, and Peshawar.
The advisory further indicates a possibility of rain in the Qalat Division, Quetta, Pishin, as well as the Kirthar and Sulaiman Mountain ranges. Light to moderate rain is forecasted for northern Sindh.
