ISLAMABAD: On Sunday and Monday, more rains are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the surrounding areas of Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, more rain with snowfall over the mountains is expected in the twin cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Sunday night.
In other parts of the country, it is expected to remain cold and partly cloudy. Fog/smog condition is likely to persist over eastern Punjab and upper Sindh.

The spell may bring about landslides and snowfall, which will keep the roads closed/slippery in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Murree, Galiyat, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch, and Haveli. The fog intensity is also likely to increase over northeastern Punjab.
The minimum temperature in Islamabad is expected to be between 06°C and 08°C on Monday, between 07°C and 09°C on Tuesday, and between 05°C and 07°C on Wednesday.
