When will it rain in Pakistan? Check Met Office’s latest predictions

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has been facing a significant drop in rainfall rate. The prolonged dry weather in Pakistan is causing serious health concerns among the residents.

Prolonged dry weather is also causing severe water shortages in various areas of Pakistan. According to the Water and Sanitization Agency (WASA), twin cities are on the edge of drought.

Additionally, the Rawalpindi authorities have issued a drought warning. If the dry weather persists in Pakistan for the next months the situation will worsen.

PMD Latest Forecasts

But, fortunately, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the latest predictions of rain and snow in the upper parts of the country as a strong westerly weather system has entered Pakistan.

The new rainfall spell is expected to bring some relief to Punjab and will also affect 70 to 80 percent of the northern areas.

Moreover, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and areas of Azad Jammu Kashmir there are chances of strong rain and snow in the mountains.

However, there are no chances of rain in the Sindh through this system. But, Balochistan is likely to get benefit from this system, and there are chances of snow in the mountains of Quetta, Ziarat, Zho,b, and Qila Saifullah.
