No Pakistani included as ICC reveals T20 World Cup team of the tournament

DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team of the Tournament with the inclusion of players from four different countries.

No players from the Pakistan team were selected as the Green Shirts failed to proceed from the group stage and disappointed fans with their poor performance in the tournament.

The Team of the Tournament featured six players from Champions India, including captain Rohit Sharma, Player of the Tournament Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh.

Three players from the first-ever semi-finalists Afghanistan, one from each West Indies and Australia also made it to the prestigious team of the T20 World Cup. South Africa’s pacer Anrich Nortje was selected as the 12th man in the team for his star performance for runner-ups.

The selection panel consisted of commentators Harsha Bhogle, Ian Bishop, Kass Naidoo, and ICC General Manager of Cricket Wasim Khan, ICC said in a statement.

  9. Jasprit Bumrah – India
  10. Arshdeep Singha – India
  11. Fazalhaq Farooqi – Afghanistan
