As per the orders of the Indian government, the airports of Udhampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Awantipora, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindan, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gugal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kilomanali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Naliya, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hirasar), Sarsava, Shimla, Srinagar, Thois, Uttarlai will remain closed.

The notification states that all civil flight activities at these airports will remain suspended till May 14.

Airlines and flight operators have been advised to plan alternative routing under the current air traffic advisory. The temporary closure is being managed in collaboration with the relevant ATC units to ensure safety and minimise disruption.

Earlier, Pakistan Armed Forces had initiated a large-scale military operation named “Operation Bunyan ul Marsoos” in retaliation for continuous Indian provocations, security sources said on early Saturday.

Security sources said that Pakistan has successfully destroyed the storage facility of the BrahMos missile in Beas, from where missiles were launched at Pakistan.

Furthermore, multiple strategic targets across India are being engaged as part of the operation.

“The Udhampur Air Base — a major operational site — and the airfield in Pathankot have also been heavily hit,” sources said.
