ISLAMABAD: In a sad and shocking incident in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, an ambulance driver allegedly assaulted a woman and caused the death of her husband by cutting off his oxygen supply, here on Thursday.

The woman also claimed that the driver and his accomplice robbed her of cash and jewellery during the horrific incident.

As per the Indian media reports, the woman was traveling in a private ambulance with her critically ill husband and brother. It is alleged that the ambulance driver, with help from his colleague, assaulted the woman while keeping her brother hostage in the front seat.

The Indian woman further claimed that as her husband and brother realized what was happening and shouted for help, the driver cruelly turned off the oxygen supply that was keeping her husband alive. As a result, her husband passed away. The men then discarded the husband’s body by the roadside before fleeing the scene

The woman explained that her husband had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Lucknow, India but was discharged due to a lack of money. In an effort to take him home, she hired the ambulance, unaware of the danger ahead.

The victim recounted that the driver and his colleague initially asked her to sit in the front to avoid trouble with the police.

Once she agreed, the men began harassing her. Despite her pleas to stop, the assault continued. When her husband and brother tried to intervene, the driver responded by shutting off the oxygen supply, leading to her husband’s death.

Local police have filed a case and are investigating the incident. Indian Authorities are actively working to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice for this heart-wrenching crime.
