PARIS: A book about Macron claims that his wife slapped him for sending inappropriate messages to an Iranian actress.

A new political book about French President Macron claims that his wife was furious over private messages sent to Iranian-French actress Golshafte Farhani, after which the two exchanged bitter words on the plane.

According to foreign media reports, a new book by French journalist Florian Tardif claims that President Macron and actress Golshafte Farhani exchanged private messages for several months. The book alleges that Brigitte Macron saw a message sent to the actress on her husband’s mobile phone, in which it allegedly said, “I think you are very beautiful.”

According to the report, the author claimed that Macron and his wife had an argument on the same issue on the presidential plane during a visit to Vietnam in May 2025, after which Brigitte Macron was seen slapping the president in the face in a video that went viral on social media.

However, French presidential circles strongly denied these allegations, saying that there was no evidence of any inappropriate relationship between President Macron and the Iranian actress. Macron has previously called the viral video a joke.
