MUMBAI: In a shocking incident, a bride in the Indian state of Gujarat planned to kill her husband just four days after their wedding with the help of her cousin.

According to Indian media reports, the incident took place in Gandhinagar, where a wave of outrage erupted after the groom’s lifeless body was found. The deceased, Bhavek, was allegedly kidnapped and killed at the behest of his wife Payal, who was in love with her cousin Kalpesh.

Shocking revelations emerged during the police investigation. Authorities have arrested three people involved in the crime, including Payal and Kalpesh. The accused confessed that Bhavek was kidnapped when he was on his way to pick up his wife from her parents’ house. The kidnappers then strangled him to death.

The victim’s father-in-law raised the alarm when Bhavek failed to reach their house after a considerable delay. On questioning, Payal’s family claimed ignorance, and indicated further investigation.

Under police interrogation, Payal confessed to her crime, revealing that she and her cousin Kalpesh had planned the murder because she wanted to be with him instead of her husband.

Authorities have since taken Payal and Kalpesh into custody, and further investigation is underway to uncover more details about the heinous act.

The tragic incident has shocked the local community, highlighting a cold case of fraud and premeditated murder.
