Iran fires missiles at Israel in response to Beirut attack

Iran fired several missiles at Israel in response to Israeli attacks on the Lebanese capital, Beirut, which further increased tensions in the region.

The Israeli army has claimed that missiles have been fired by Iran and that air defense systems are constantly activated to thwart these attacks.

According to the Israeli army, as soon as the missile launch was detected, alarm sirens were sounded in Haifa and other areas of northern Israel, while instructions were issued to citizens to move to safe places.

The army says that in view of possible further attacks, a high alert will be maintained for the next few hours.

According to Israeli officials, the claim of Iranian missile attacks has come at a time when the Israeli Air Force targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut on Sunday. There have been reports of casualties as a result of the attack, but final details have not been released.

On the other hand, Iranian officials had already warned that Israel would respond in the event of attacks on the Lebanese capital.

The Revolutionary Guards have warned Israel in their latest statement that if the attacks on Lebanon are not stopped, the consequences could be more serious and devastating.

The recent developments have given rise to a new and dangerous tension in the Middle East, while the international community is closely monitoring the situation.
