Former Iranian FM Kamal Kharazi martyred after US-Israeli attack

TEHRAN: Former Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Kamal Kharazi, who was attacked by the US and Israel, died of his wounds.

The US and Israel attacked Dr. Kamal Kharazi’s house in Tehran, in which his wife was martyred, while Dr. Kamal Kharrazi was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital, where he was in a coma.

The most reliable sources in Iran have confirmed the martyrdom of Dr. Kamal. His martyrdom has closed an important chapter in the field of diplomacy and education in Iran.

Dr. Kamal was an advisor to Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, and before that, he was also an advisor to the martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Kamal Kharrazi, 81, was considered one of the most important figures in shaping Iran’s foreign policy. He was also the head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Affairs, an advisory body that sends recommendations on foreign policy to the country’s highest leadership.

Dr. Kamal Kharrazi served as Iran’s foreign minister from 1997 to 2005 under the reformist president of Iran, Mohammad Khatami.
