BERLIN: The German Consulate General Karachi announced that an online portal has been launched to submit visa applications without any hassle in Pakistan. It said people can apply for employment visas through this portal.
The Opportunity Card is a residence permit issued to workers who have come from third-party countries and are aiming to enter Germany with the intention of seeking employment or recognition of their foreign qualifications.
Applicants are selected based on a points system that looks at qualifications, skills, and personal circumstances; six points are required as the minimum for passing.
The EU Blue Card is a residence permit provided by European Union member states to non-EU nationals who are qualified with a university degree or have experience as an IT professional, allowing them to work in any EU state given the fulfillment of particular conditions. An application for a Blue Card for employment in Germany needs to be filed at the local foreigners’ office.
Third-country nationals, excluding citizens of Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland, can apply for a residence permit to work in Germany under certain circumstances. You can apply for it at the Aliens’ Office in Germany.
Skilled workers from non-EU states, but also not from Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland, have the opportunity to apply for a residence permit for working purposes in Germany, provided that they meet the necessary requirements.
This also involves a visa for entry, which can be applied for via the Consular Services Portal or at the nearest German diplomatic mission.
A residence permit for employment in Germany can be issued to non-EU nationals, depending on their work experience.
In general, applicants require a visa upon entry to Germany; this can be applied for online or through the local German mission.
Skilled workers from non-EU countries need to have a recognized professional qualification in order for them to work in Germany, which has to be officially acknowledged before entering the country.
