Islamabad launches free Wi-Fi Across 30 key locations

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad has launched a project to provide free Wi-Fi at 30 different locations.

This project is being implemented in collaboration with the National Telecommunication Corporation and will provide free internet facility at various stations, parks and sectors of the city.

84 metro stations have been included under the project, while Wi-Fi service will be provided at parks and important locations such as 14 stations from Pak Secretariat to UP Road and 70 stations from Faiz Ahmed Faiz to GT Road.

In addition, free Wi-Fi will also be available at CAA Hospital, Japan Park, Lake View Park, Daman Koh and Fatima Jinnah Park.

Citizens will also be able to benefit from this facility at weekly markets such as G6 and H9, and Wi-Fi will also be provided in posh sectors F6 and F7 of Islamabad.

According to CDA officials, this facility will be completed by the end of this month, which will provide access to modern and high-speed internet to the city’s citizens and visitors.

The project aims not only to promote internet access for citizens but also to strengthen digital connectivity at important public places in the city so that both citizens and tourists can take full advantage of modern technology.
