GOA: Horrific fire at a nightclub in the Indian state of Goa has killed 23 people.
According to a private media, a fire broke out due to a gas cylinder explosion at a nightclub in Arpora district of Goa. The dead included club staff members and tourists.
According to local authorities, rescue operations are underway following the fire incident.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has ordered an investigation into the fire incident, saying it will be reviewed to see whether fire safety principles and building codes were followed.
The Chief Minister further said that strictest action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.
