RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 9 Indian-backed terrorists in 2 operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted an operation in Tank district on intelligence inputs and effectively targeted the hideout of Fitnat-ul-Khawarij. Seven Khawarij were killed in a fierce exchange of fire in Tank.
The ISPR said that security forces also conducted an operation against Khawarij in Lakki Marwat on intelligence inputs. Two Khawarij were killed in an exchange of fire in Lakki Marwat.
The Public Relations Department said that arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain Indian-backed Khawarij. The slain Khawarij were involved in terrorist acts.
According to the ISPR, clearance operations are underway in the relevant areas to eliminate the terrorist network. These operations will continue until the scourge of terrorism is eradicated from the country.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for two successful operations against Indian-backed terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and appreciated the professionalism of the forces.
The three personalities said that the security forces killed the Khawarijs by taking timely actions, they pay tribute to the security forces for destroying the evil intentions of the Khawarijs, they are proud of the courage and professionalism of the security forces, the security forces are achieving great successes against the Fitna al-Khawarij, the forces are determined to establish peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
