HYDERABAD, INDIA: The Telangana government has announced the postponement of the reopening date of schools across the state.
According to the government announcement, it was earlier decided to open all government and private schools from June 12; however, due to administrative reasons and continuous holidays, the new date has been fixed as June 15.
After this decision, students and parents will get additional time before the start of educational activities.
The administration says that June 13 is the second weekly holiday of the month, while June 14 was a Sunday, so there were two consecutive holidays. Keeping this situation in mind, it was decided to postpone the reopening of schools till June 15.
The education department clarified that in order to keep the academic calendar balanced, July 11, which will be the second weekly holiday, will be declared a working day instead of the holiday on June 13.
On this day, all educational institutions will remain open as usual, and teaching activities will continue.
