RIYADH: The administration of the General Authority for the Affairs of the two ‘Holy Mosques‘ in Saudi Arabia has made a public announcement, explaining that registration for Itikaf at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah will open on March 5, 2025.
Itikaf is a religious practice observed during the month of Ramadan, involves secluding oneself in a mosque for dedicated worship and prayer during the last ten days of the holy month.
From this year, Itikaf will begin on the 20th of Ramadan (March 20) until the end of Ramadan. According to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Itikaf signifies an incredible opportunity to make one stand to connect with Allah unhampered by worldly interruptions.
Registration will commence at 11 AM local time through the authority’s official website and will remain available until all spots are filled. Permission will be granted online subject to certain requisites and criteria imposed by the authorities.
The online registration will take place on March 05, 2025. The interested Muslims can visit the official website and can enroll themselves to practice on the most divine form of worshipping.
