TEHRAN: According to the Iranian Health Ministry, Israeli strikes have reportedly killed at least 627 people in Iran during the war.

According to details released on Wednesday, a spokesman for the Health Ministry has released the latest death toll following Israel’s attacks on Iranian soil. In a post on X, Hossein Kermanpour said that at least 627 people were killed and 4,870 were injured in the Israeli strikes.

He said that the highest number of deaths was recorded in Tehran, followed by Kermanshah. Significant losses were also reported in Khuzestan, Lorestan and Isfahan.

“I do not pass judgment,” Kermanpour wrote. “I do not describe the painful scenes of wounded children, mothers and civilians arriving – I leave that to the conscience of humanity.”

About 86.1 percent of the victims died at the scene, while 13.9 percent succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
