WASHINGTON: A foreign news agency has claimed that significant progress has been made in efforts to extend the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

According to the foreign news agency, the two sides are expected to return to the negotiating table soon. While consideration is being given to extending the ceasefire for another two weeks.

According to the AP, the United States and Iran have expressed their willingness in principle to extend the ceasefire. However, differences remain on some important issues.

Sources say that the mediating parties are trying to reach an agreement on three major issues. These include Iran’s nuclear program, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, and issues related to compensation for war damages.

According to experts, if progress is made on these points, tensions in the region could decrease significantly and pave the way for a comprehensive agreement.
