GAZA: Fresh military activity was reported in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon as the conflict in the region continued to escalate.

According to Arab media reports, an Israeli airstrike in Gaza reportedly destroyed an apartment building and caused damage in nearby areas.

Reports also claimed that a hospital building was affected during the strikes, although details regarding the extent of damage and casualties were not immediately independently verified.

Separately, reports said an attack on a checkpoint in Gaza a day earlier resulted in the deaths of five police officers and one child, while several others were injured. No immediate independent confirmation of the incident details was available.

In southern Lebanon, reports indicated that an Israeli strike hit an area near a hospital, leaving at least 15 people dead and injuring members of medical staff. Health infrastructure in parts of southern Lebanon has come under pressure amid continued cross-border hostilities.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed it targeted four launchers associated with Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system using FPV drones. The claim had not been independently verified at the time of reporting. Reports in recent days have indicated continued drone and rocket activity linked to the confrontation between Hezbollah and Israeli forces.

The latest developments come amid ongoing regional efforts to prevent a wider escalation.
