Macron urges Iran to reopen Strait of Hormuz

FRANCE: French President Emmanuel Macron has called for the restoration of shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga and French President Macron held a telephone conversation during which they discussed the situation in the Middle East.

According to the report, French President Macron urged the Iranian president to immediately stop the attacks in the Middle East and to restore shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible.

Macron said that only a new political and security framework can ensure peace and security for all, and that the framework should also guarantee that Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons.
