WASINGTON: US President Donald Trump has made clear his intentions regarding the future of Iran during an interview, saying that he intends to be personally involved in the process of selecting the new leader of Iran.
President Donald Trump has revealed in an interview that he needs to be personally involved in the selection of the next leader of Iran, just like he did in the case of Venezuela.
He admitted that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, is the most likely successor, but he made it clear that this outcome is unacceptable to him.
He said that they are wasting their time, Khamenei’s son is a weak man and he will have to be involved in the appointment. He will not accept a new Iranian leader who continues Khamenei’s policies because it will lead the United States to war again in five years. He wants someone who brings harmony and peace to Iran.
The president said the US is targeting Iran’s drone and missile capabilities every hour. They don’t have an air force, they don’t have air defenses, all their planes are gone, their communications are down.
Trump said the US military, working with Israel, is completely destroying Iranian targets long before their time. The Iranian regime has been terrorizing Iran for 47 years. He claimed that the regime has harmed innocent Iranians.
President Trump also said he has a plan to keep oil prices low during the war.
