Second round of Iran-US talks likely Monday in Pakistan: report

WASHINGTON: American TV has claimed, citing Iranian sources, that the second round of talks between the United States and Iran will be held in Pakistan on Monday.

According to the American broadcaster CNN, the United States has not confirmed the schedule for the Iran talks.

It should be noted that the first round of talks between Pakistan and the United States was held in Islamabad.

The American delegation was led by US Vice President JD Vance, while US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff were also present.

The Iranian delegation was led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and was accompanied by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

After the Islamabad talks, both delegations agreed on a few issues and agreed to another meeting.

Trump Hints at “Big Surprise” on Iran tomorrow

US President Donald Trump says we have good news about Iran, and there may be a surprise tomorrow.

According to a foreign news agency, President Trump said that if there is no agreement, the US will continue to impose sanctions on Iranian ports. Something is going to happen tomorrow. I think it will be a very positive thing. There may be a surprise tomorrow.

According to the foreign news agency Reuters, the US President said that a very good and intelligent person is coming to the White House tomorrow, a person who cares a lot about his country and the outside world. We are going to hold an extraordinary news conference tomorrow morning.

It should be noted that Iran has opened the Strait of Hormuz to all types of commercial ships; however, Iran says that the condition for the Strait of Hormuz to remain open will be subject to a ceasefire. If the agreement is violated, the Strait of Hormuz will be closed again.
