ISLAMABAD: United States President Donald Trump praised Pakistan’s government for their leadership after the major events of Friday.
He expressed gratitude to Pakistan and identified Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir as “two fantastic people” who assisted the United States-Pakistan negotiations.
The US presidential representative made public his approval of Pakistan’s military chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, because the military leader brought better chances for successful talks through his involvement in negotiations.
US President Donald Trump used his Truth Social account to express gratitude to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar for their “great bravery and help”.
He rejected NATO’s offer to assist with the Strait of Hormuz which he announced through his post. The US president has previously credited Pakistan’s leadership for helping defuse tensions in South Asia and the Middle East, which shows his growing trust in Islamabad’s diplomatic abilities.
Pakistan receives worldwide recognition as a possible long-term peace broker because both its civilian and military leaders actively engage in mediation attempts.
