India requested ceasefire after Pakistan's retaliation: CNN

WASHINGTON: A ceasefire between Pakistan and India has been in effect since 4:30 PM (Pakistan Standard Time), with the United States played an important role in this regard. However, American news outlet CNN reported that it was India not Pakistan, that reached out to the US to request a ceasefire.

According to a CNN reporter, who spoke with a source who was present in the same room with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio where the ceasefire was being discussed, and he played an important role in the ceasefire. According to CNN, in response to Indian aggression, Pakistan had stopped the military and was giving a chance to diplomacy, but India took this opportunity and threw it out the window when they attacked Pakistan’s air bases, one of which is also in the capital Islamabad. When this happened, Pakistan responded forcefully, launching a large number of rockets and missiles at Indian bases, along with targeting Indian arms depots. Indian posts on the Line of Control were also targeted.

According to a CNN reporter, when this happened, India went on the back foot, not knowing what had happened to it. Then India contacted the US and Saudi foreign ministers, among others, and requested diplomacy.
