Sikandar Raza shares emotional message after burial of younger brother

HARARE: Zimbabwe cricket team captain Sikandar Raza has shared an emotional message after the burial of his younger brother.

Sikandar Raza’s younger brother, 13-year-old Mohammed Mehdi, was suffering from hemophilia and died on December 29 due to recent medical complications. His funeral was held on December 30 in the capital, Harare.

The Zimbabwe team captain, remembering his brother on the social networking website X, said in a message that we belong to Allah and to Him we must return.

Sikandar Raza thanked everyone for praying for his brother’s forgiveness and said that your messages mean a lot to me and my family, for which we are all deeply grateful.

He said that Mohammed Mehdi was laid to rest on December 30. He has left behind memories for his family, friends and the entire community that will last a lifetime.

Sikandar Raza further said that we are grateful to Allah for giving us such an angel. Once again, Jazak Allah to all of you for your love, prayers, and encouraging messages.
