Taliban restrictions push Afghan women out of jobs, education

KABUL: The restrictions on Afghan women’s participation in education and employment remain in place, and they were forced to follow a dress code in various cities, including Kabul, according to the media.

According to the report, female teachers and employees are being dismissed from Afghan universities 81 women were fired from Herat University, and the Taliban has also banned women from working in UN agencies.

The Afghan journal Hasht-e-Subh said in its report that 2025 was the worst year for Afghan women, with Afghan women saying that due to restrictions, institutions are avoiding hiring women.
