DENMARK: Two trains collided in Denmark, injuring several people.

The foreign news agency Reuters says that the accident occurred on a busy railway route, which also affected train service.

According to Reuters, emergency services immediately reached the scene of the accident and the injured are being transferred to nearby hospitals. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical, but authorities did not immediately confirm any deaths.

Rescue agencies say that rescue operations are underway while the process of safely evacuating train passengers is being completed.

Authorities have launched an investigation to find out the causes of the incident. Initially, a signaling system or technical malfunction is being considered as a possible cause.
