ABU DHABI: Following a slight decrease in UAE petrol and diesel prices in June, people are hoping to see another drop in the price of fuel.
Prices change on the final day of every month and are announced by the United Arab Emirates federal government via their petroleum firm Emarat.
For months, petrol prices steadily increased but finally took a dip in June. It was the first time the price of fuel had lowered since January.

The UAE government is likely to announce a dip in petrol prices, providing another relief to the masses, especially those involved in the tax business.
The new rates will come into effect at the beginning of the new month, on Monday, July 1, 2024.
