British-Pakistani woman driver runs over motorway police officer

ISLAMABAD: A woman driver was charged with overspeeding and allegedly running over a motorway patrol officer’s foot, according to police reports on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at the main Islamabad toll plaza, leading to a case being filed at Nasirabad police station.

The car ran over the patrol officer’s foot, tearing his boot, according to the police. After the woman’s identification was established, her British driver’s license was issued with a speeding ticket.

The man in the car, who is 22 years old, paid the woman’s Rs 2,500 punishment for exceeding the speed limit. The woman misbehaved with the motorway police and made grave threats, according to the police, both before and after the payment.

According to the case, the woman ran over the patrol officer’s foot after paying the fine and then fled the scene.
