US Strikes Iran, Explosions rock Chabahar & Bandar Abbas

TEHRAN: Explosions were heard in the southern coastal areas of Iran, including Sark, Bandar Abbas, Konarak and Chabahar.

According to a foreign news agency, after the explosions, electricity supply was suspended in some areas of Chabahar. While explosions were also heard in Iran’s Bushehr province late at night.

The US military confirmed the new attacks on Iran and said that the attacks were aimed at reducing the threats to international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The attacks were carried out to weaken Iranian capabilities that threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to US officials, the operation targeted air defense systems, coastal radars, anti-ship missile installations and other military targets.

The US military says that during these operations, about 90 military targets in Iran were successfully hit.

According to CENTCOM, the attacks were aimed at weakening Iran’s defense and military capabilities, targeting air defense installations, coastal surveillance centers, missile and drone depots, naval capabilities, as well as military logistics centers and supply networks in coastal areas.

A statement issued by the US Central Command said that the United States is holding Iran accountable for its recent unprovoked aggression against commercial vessels and their civilian crews traveling freely in internationally important waterways.

According to Iranian media, the US attack targeted facilities at Iranshahr Airport in southeastern Iran, killing a firefighter.

The US also targeted a railway bridge in its latest military operations against Iran, while in response, alarm sirens sounded in Bahrain and Kuwait due to fears of Iranian missile and drone attacks, further increasing tensions in the region.

According to Iranian media, seven missiles or other projectiles were fired at the railway bridge at around 1:30 am local time. Two of the missiles landed on the railway track and exploded, damaging the railway line, but no immediate details were released regarding the movement of trains.

US attacks against self-determination; Iran will respond with full force

On the other hand, the Revolutionary Guards say that the attack on the Aq Taqa Khan bridge was carried out by a US cruise missile. According to Iranian officials, the attack definitely damaged the infrastructure, but fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Iranian authorities have vowed a strong response to the US attacks, calling them a violation of their sovereignty, after which air defense systems in Bahrain and Kuwait were activated.

Warning sirens sounded in Bahrain and Qatar

The Bahraini Interior Ministry has issued instructions to citizens and residents to immediately move to safe places, while air attack warning sirens were sounded across the country. On the other hand, Kuwait also said that its air defense systems are countering potential missile and drone threats.

According to reports, Qatar has also issued an emergency security alert and announced that it will closely monitor the situation, but there were no immediate reports of major casualties or material damage.

US President Donald Trump said after the recent attacks that the ceasefire has effectively ended after Iran attacked commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, but he also indicated that the door to diplomatic talks was not completely closed.

The governor said that rescue and medical teams immediately reached the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured, while the damage caused by the attack and the final number of injured are being determined.

Iran Announces Stay-at-Home Alert

Amid ongoing U.S. military strikes, Iranian authorities have urged residents to remain at home and stay calm as the security situation continues to evolve. Officials said the advisory is aimed at ensuring public safety while emergency services remain on high alert. The government also assured citizens that essential supplies and services would continue to be available despite the escalating tensions.
